Unique to the industry, GRAY-NICOLLS grow only the best English willow for the production of their cricket bats. Salix Carrulea or Alba Var varieties are grown and harvested by the Company in a willow replenishment program pioneered over 50 years ago.
The willow is air dried to ensure perfect moisture content for the very best performance. Each bat is handmade under the expert eye of master bat maker. They shape and press each bat individually to ensure it has a powerful rebound with excellent feel. The bat maker stamps their own letter on the shoulder - as a guarantee of their skill and quality.
